Year 9 English tutoring at Global Education Academy is delivered using a scientific approach. Following our research and methodology, we have developed a structured curriculum that includes all the components of the English language.
This Year 9 English tutoring course builds on the key foundation skills developed during Stage 4, providing opportunities for students to study specific examples of quality literature in which they can make comparisons to issues prevalent in everyday life today. Year 9 English Tutoring Course Outlines
Our Year 9 English tutoring course is offered in a 2-hour English tutoring block per week for a school term (for term-by-term enrolment) or a whole year for students who are on a yearly enrolment.
Every week 9 of each term students complete an assessment. It is called Assessment for Learning. The purpose of the assessment is to provide more learning for students in the concepts and areas they need. The Year 8 English tutor (teacher) provides complete feedback for the students going through the assessment question by question. Parents receive a comprehensive report that shows numerical values for each component of the assessment. In week 10, they complete a revision and recap for the whole term and get more feedback on their writing.
